I’m a UX Developer driven by the narrative each company has to offer its online customer. We are all trying to tell a story; each digital footprint is part of your customers’ daily stories.
With over ten years of experience, I know how to listen to your needs and business goals while aligning them with your customers’ goals. I’ve been working with entrepreneurs, small start-ups, and even a few fortune 500 companies. Each journey is different, so I don’t believe in one size fits all answers. Instead, the digital solution needs to be a reflection of your story and journey.
In 2018, I also started the snack food company, Forgetful Chef. We create allergy-friendly snack foods. Our site is built on the Shopify platform, and we ship our top 12 allergen-free snack bites across North America. Unfortunately, in 2019, I shut this down and started a premium outdoor lifestyle brand, Coastal Wilderness. Coastal Wilderness has grown to a full-time gig, and we strive to give back to the environment through our partnerships with 1% for the Planet.
I am currently the Design Manager at HCL-BigFix. I lead a team of 8 designers globally.
I’ve always been curious about the way things work. This drove me to start coding and designing in the first place. My first website was built when a client needed a new website within 24 hours. I went home that evening and taught myself HTML, inline CSS (that’s all they had back then), and tables. I delivered the site the next day with a great sigh of relief, but it also awoke a hunger in me to learn more. Since then, I’ve continued to work towards learning more about the web industry, best practices, and users.
This ongoing thirst for learning and trying new things has led me to help start-up several small companies, release my HTML wireframe toolkit and speak at various events.
